39 THE RETURN OF THE KING

Christ said He would return to reign in the 24th chapter of Matthew after certain things took place. First, the fig tree had to be in place. The rabbis say the fig tree is political Israel; the vine, spiritual Israel. Israel was founded again as a nation at midnight on May 14-15, 1948. He then said the generation that saw this would also be the one to see Him returning to reign (Matthew 24:32-34), not rapture.

I had thought a generation’s time span would be in the Bible, Psalm 90:10 The average life of a man is 70, but by virtue of strength, he may get to 80. However, if 80 were the number and He returns on Yom Kippur, the final week’s first year of 360 days should have begun in 2021. There was no evidence of that.

On a whim, I looked up the average life-span of an Israeli- born Jewish citizen of Israel a few months ago on the internet. It was 84.4 years. That would fit. 4/10ths of a 12-month year would be 4.8 months. 8/10ths of a month would be 24 days. 84 years added to 1948 would put the year in 2032. Add 24 days to May 15 would yield about June 8. Adding 4 more months goes to October 8, with Yom Kippur, the holiest day in Judaism, the feast I believe Christ will return to reign, but not necessarily in 2032, perhaps an earlier year, on September 14 to September 15, sunset to sunset in 2032. Hence, 2032 is a player for His return to reign at the conclusion of Daniel’s final and 70th week per Daniel 9. (It is curious to note that most references I have seen note the crucifixion in 32 or 33 AD, so this would be the 2000th anniversary of the year 32 AD.) The final or 70th week of Daniel in this scenario would begin no later than about January of 2026. Likely, the rapture would be earlier, but, perhaps even a few months (no more than 5) into the final week, likely on a Jewish feast, with the best choice Trumpets on the Jewish month of Tishri 1-2, sunset to sunset, usually in September.

Why Trumpets? It is the next Mosaic feast to be fulfilled, sequentially, of the seven. Christ fulfilled the first four Feasts of the LORD. He was the Passover Lamb on 14 Nisan in the spring. The next day began the one-week Feast of Unleavened Bread from 15 to 21 Nisan. Leaven was a symbol for sin. Christ had no sin, and His body did not decay in the grave per Psalm 16:10. The day after the regular Jewish Sabbath of Friday sunset to Saturday sunset (Jewish days go sunset to sunset.) within Unleavened Bread’s week, was First Fruits, the third Feast of the LORD per Leviticus 23:11. Christ was the First Fruit of the grave with His resurrection, but the feast is First Fruits in the plural. Hence, at His death, many graves were opened by an earthquake, and many of the saints were resurrected and came out of the grave after His resurrection to appear to many per Matthew 27:52-53.

The fourth feast is Weeks (Shavuot), when the church was born per Acts 2 (Pentecost and Weeks occurred on the same day at this time. The Jewish Sabbath begins at sunset on Friday and lasts till sunset Saturday. Christians worship on Sunday, because it is the day of the week the tomb was found empty per Matthew 28:1, Mark 16:2, Luke 24:1, & John 20:1 and the day of the week the church was born in Acts 2:1-4. Weeks is always on Saturday sunset to Sunday sunset, 50 days after the Feast of First Fruits within Unleavened Bread per Leviticus 23:16. First Fruits was the first day of the 50 days leading up to Weeks. This year of 2022, Weeks began at sunset Saturday on 4 June to sunset Sunday 5 June.

Why is Weeks a possibility for the rapture, or snatching away of the church from the earth to heaven? Because the Jews believed it was considered a sign of being righteous if you died on your birthday, with David and Enoch both born on Weeks and dying on Weeks. Isaac was born on 14 Nisan and was saved from sacrifice on 14 Nisan per Genesis 22 and Exodus 12:40-41. Corrie ten Boom, who wrote The Hiding Place, an account of her father and sister and herself hiding Jews in her father’s shop in Amsterdam, Holland, during the Nazi occupation of the city in World War II, was sent with her sister to the Ravensbruch concentration camp, where her sister died. Through a clerical error, she was released. She later wrote that God had told her He would bless her with long life. She died 40 years later on her birthday.

The fifth feast, Trumpets, the Jewish New Year, Rosh Hoshana, begins the fall feasts. In Jerusalem, it begins sunset 25 September to sunset 26 September, 1 Tishri on the Jewish calendar in 2022. However, if the sky is overcast and the only crescent moon of the LORD’s feasts is not seen on 1 Tishri as noted above, then they celebrate it one day later. We do not know the day or hour of the LORD’s return per Matthew 24:36. 10 Tishri is when the sixth Mosaic feast begins- Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement, the holiest day in Judaism, the feast I believe He will return to reign, but not to rapture.

Tishri 1, Trumpets or Rosh Hashana, the Jewish New Year, points to Yom Kippur on 10 Tishri. These ten days are known as “the days of awe,” when observant Jews are to sincerely pray and repent of their sins. Trumpets and Yom Kippur occur on the seventh month in the Jewish religious calendar with seven being the number for completion. Yom Kippur is the holiest day in Judaism, equivalent to Christmas and Easter in Christianity. On this day God opens the books of the good, the bad, and the in-between. If you are good, He will graciously grant you another year of life. The bad will die in the next year. If you are in-between, but you sincerely pray and repent during the days of awe, He will give you another year to think about it. In Daniel 12:11 we are told that from the day the sacrifices are taken away and the abomination of desolation is set up, there will be 1290 days, which seems to indicate the sacrifices will restart 30 days after the 1260 days of the Great Tribulation (Revelation 13:5, 12:6,14) Daniel 12:12 adds that blessed is he who comes to the 1335th day. If the Great Tribulation is 1260 days, why is there an extra 75 days? The Jewish feast of Hanukkah is always 74 or 75 days after Yom Kippur. Hanukkah celebrates the removal of the first abomination of desolation from the Jewish temple circa 164 BC. I believe it will also celebrate the removal of the second abomination of desolation. Hence, I believe Christ will come to reign on Yom Kippur with the rapture likely on Trumpets, pointing to His return on Yom Kippur.

There are other points of interest. In Revelation 11:3-13, the text refers to two witnesses, one likely Moses and the other Elijah per Malachi 4:5. They will witness 1260 days (verse 3), be killed, and then resurrected three and one-half days later. Why three and one-half days? One possibility is that God is repeating the Mosaic feasts, also translated as “the appointed times.” They would be killed on Passover, and resurrected on First Fruits. The 144,000 sealed servants of God, 12,000 from every tribe save Dan, are noted in Revelation 7. In Revelation 14, 144,000 are in heaven who were redeemed from the earth per the fourth verse. When were they redeemed? Perhaps on Weeks, which is also known as Second First Fruits. Then, Trumpets could be the destruction of the Russo-Islamic army per Ezekiel 38 & 39, pointing to His return on Yom Kippur. The seventh feast is Tabernacles, the feast of Christ’s millennium per Zechariah 14:16. I do not profess to know this as true, but it ties everything up as a neat package to me.

Back to the resurrection of the two witnesses after three and one-half days. For the above to be true, they would have to be resurrected on First Fruits. As I read Leviticus 23:11, it is the day after the Sabbath, which I take to mean the Jewish Sabbath of sunset Friday to sunset Saturday, i.e., First Fruits would be Saturday sunset to Sunday sunset. However, according to a book The Feasts of the LORD, this was changed in the first century AD to the day after the first High Sabbath within the one-week feast of Unleavened Bread. Leviticus 23:7,8 note the first and last (seventh) day of Unleavened Bread are holy convocations (High Sabbaths, which are considered Sabbaths regardless of the day of the week). In other words, 14 Nisan is Passover, followed by the first High Sabbath of Unleavened Bread on 15 Nisan, followed by First Fruits on 16 Nisan. I believe this came into being in the first century to make sure Christ could not be in the tomb three days and three nights. However, reading the account on the taking of Jericho in Joshua 5, I believe the first fruits (verse 19) of the conquest of the city went to God on the seventh day when the wall fell down, to me, confirming First Fruits follows the regular Jewish Sabbath of Friday sunset to Saturday sunset.

If my assertion in the last paragraph is correct, then the two witnesses must be resurrected three and one-half days after their Passover deaths on First Fruits, which must be Saturday sunset to Sunday sunset. Do we have any soon possibilities? Passover in 2026 begins at sunset Wednesday on April 1 to sunset Thursday on April 2. If the two witnesses were killed early on Passover, then their resurrection could make First Fruits in 2026. My calculations place the two witnesses as coming forth to begin their 1260 days on about 19 October, 2022. Passover in 2027 begins on Wednesday, April 21. Hence, this too fits as a possibility with 8 November, 2023, the approximate date of their appearance. (Please do your own calculations.) Passover in 2028 begins Monday, April 10. This does not fit for their resurrection on First Fruits. Passover in 2029 begins Friday sunset, March 30, to Saturday sunset, March 31. In 2030, Passover begins Wednesday sunset, April 17, to Thursday sunset, April 18, but this seems too late for my predictions, if the purpose of the two witnesses is to call the lost tribes and the Jews home, and the last year possible is 2032 for the coming of Christ.

I prefer Trumpets as the most likely feast for the rapture with Weeks as the second choice. However, the LORD has set it up so other feasts will do as well for the rapture, such as the day after the seventh day of Tabernacles, the harvest feast of Israel and the seventh and final of the Mosaic Feasts of the LORD, the feast of Christ’s millennium per Zechariah 14:16. The Jews reside in temporary shelters for 7 days (Leviticus 23:42) to commemorate their 40 years in the wilderness after the Exodus, and then they go to their permanent abodes. Is that when the people of the church leave their earthly bodies for heaven? Tabernacles is a seven-day feast with the first day a High Sabbath, a Sabbath regardless of the day of the week (Leviticus 23:33-43, Numbers 29:12-39). There is also a High Sabbath after the feast is concluded. It seems to me it should be an eight-day feast with a High Sabbath on each end, but that is not how it is written. On the seven days of the feast, a total of 70 bulls are sacrificed, likely for the seventy nations after the Flood. On the eighth day, only one bull is sacrificed, likely for Israel alone. Israel would truly be alone if the rapture occurred on this day.

There are also two nonMosaic feasts. Hanukkah is the Feast of Lights and the Rededication of the Temple. Christ was the Light of the world while He was in it: His church when He left. Per 1 Corinthians 6:19, “Know you not that you are the Temple of the Holy Spirit?” Christ validated this feast in John 10:22. Purim, Esther’s feast, is the salvation of God’s people. It occurs one month before Passover, but an extra day is given to those in Jerusalem. The only other date that I can think of that is not a feast is Nisan 1, in the spring, when the Jewish religious year begins. I don’t believe this is when the final week of Daniel begins, however.

Psalms 120 to 134 are labeled as psalms of Ascent, but ascent to where- Jerusalem, the Temple, Heaven? To all three?

J.R. Church wrote a book circa 1986 called Hidden Prophecies in the Psalms. He noted that the Psalms were indicative of years of the 20th and 21st centuries. Psalm 1 would be 1901; Psalm 2, 1902; Psalm 100, 2000; and onward to the present Psalm 122, 2022. I felt this laughable till I read his book. The first part 19 comes from the fact that the Psalms are the 19th book of the Bible. He noted Psalms 17 (1917) when the British lion took Jerusalem by sending formations of planes over the city (see verse 8) from the terrified Turks, most of whom had never seen an airplane, 42-44 (1942-1944) when the Jews were in the Nazi death camps; 48 (1948), the rebirth of Israel; 67 (1967), the Six-Day War; and 73 (1973), the Yom Kippur War. I believe the Anglo-Saxons of the British Empire are the lost tribe of Ephraim, and America is Manasseh, both sons of the Hebrew tribe of Joseph, who had the great blessings of God (1 Chronicles 5:21, Genesis 48, specifically verses 19, 20 and Genesis 49:22-26, Deuteronomy 33:13-17). Dr. Church did not consider the Anglo-Saxons Hebrews. Had he, I believe Psalm 40 (1940) would have been Dunkirk, when the British Army was saved from the Nazi Wehrmacht by naval evacuation; 80 (1980), specifically to Ephraim, Benjamin, and Manasseh per verse 2. I am unsure as to how Benjamin fits into this. The message of Psalm 80 is that the people have sinned and please, God, send them a man to help them. In 1980, Ronald Reagan was elected President of the United States, and Margaret Thatcher was prime minister of the United Kingdom already. Psalm 91 (1991) when the American Army in Saudi Arabia feared biologic and chemical warfare from Saddam Hussein, was the favorite psalm of the Desert Stormers, according to the New York Times. Read the opening verses to see why.

Twice, I tried to find the final or 70th week of Daniel in earlier psalms and was very wrong, but into the breach once more.

Psalm 122 (2022) refers to the tribes of Israel going up to Jerusalem for judgement. It opens with I was glad when they said to me, “Let us go into the house of the LORD.” It continues with a reference to Jerusalem and the tribes going up for judgement. The Bible is filled with double prophecies. Is the first verse a reference to the rapture of the church also? If so, we will know shortly. Remember, per Ezekiel 37:16, all the tribes of Israel (including the northern tribes headed by Ephraim) must return to Israel for union with their brethren. According to Matthew 7:11 (Jesus speaking) Elijah is coming first and will restore all things. What will he and likely Moses, the 2 witnesses of Revelation 11:3-13, restore? Answer: The twelve tribes of Israel. Is this the year he and likely Moses begin the call for all the tribes, and not just the Jews (including the tribes of Benjamin, Simeon, and Levi) to come back to Israel, just before the final or 70th week of Daniel begins. If America and Britain are doing well, I suspect those of Anglo-Saxon origin will not wish to return to the crucible of the Middle East. I presume things are dreadful in those areas, if the tribes of Joseph, Ephraim and Manasseh, answer the call to return.

The petro-dollar has been king of the currencies since at least World War II, but then dollars could be redeemed in gold. President Nixon took us off the gold standard circa 1971 causing problems with the value of the dollar, About 1972 the Saudi king agreed to sell all his oil in $, and it has maintained itself as the world’s currency. However, then we were an industrial giant, and not a debtor nation as we became in the 1980s. Recently, the Prince of Saudi Arabia refused to take Biden’s calls for more oil production and is dickering with the Chinese to sell his oil to them in Yuan, a financial disaster for America if it occurs. America has a present inflation of about 9% (though other sources put it at 17%), the greatest since about 1980. The Democrats then passed the “inflation reduction act” in the middle of August with the cost being $740 billion. Combined with the recently passed bill on computer chips, the recent new spending tops a trillion dollars, $3.5 trillion since taking office in 2021. And then President Biden by executive order gave relief to young people with large debts from college by agreeing to forgive $10,000 to $20,000 of their total college debt. The bill supposedly was $300 billion, though others place it at over half a trillion dollars. We have also millions of persons of unknown origin into the U.S., mostly young males. The number for the first 18 months of the Biden presidency was placed at 3.5 million illegal aliens through our southern border with Mexico, though others place the number as high as 4.9 million with 900,000 gottaways, persons who did not come to Border Patrol (BP) agents to be shipped to their desired destination, and to get cards good for free food and lodging plus a new phone. Such a deal! Who would not want to participate in this free giveaway? Some of these people are carrying drugs, but would 900,000 persons all be carrying drugs? During 9/11 in 2001, our economy was brought to a standstill by 19 terrorists. What if many were Muslims here to attack the Great Satan in his lair? Of interest on this point, television showed, in mid-August of this year, three persons, captured in Arizona or New Mexico, wearing sniper suits, designed to make them look like local vegetation. Apparently, you began with something like a brown grass skirt around your waist, then a similar skirt over your shoulders, and finally a hat of these fronds to cover your head. I suspect the desert is rather hot in such an outfit, especially in August. The television reporter noted the three were from Mexico, but they looked Middle Eastern to me. And finally how much does it cost to feed and house 3.5 to 5.0 million persons from all over the world, many of whom are poorly educated and don’t speak English. I suspect a minimal figure is hundreds of billions of dollars. I suspect inflation is just getting started, and the real question is: can the dollar be maintained as the world’s premier currency?

Psalm 123 (2023): The Israelites look to God for mercy as they are scorned and considered contemptible by the world. Perhaps, this is because the Israelis attack Iran to prevent them going nuclear, and they are attacked by their contiguous foes (Amos 1- 2) save Egypt. Lebanon and Syria are reported to have 200.000 missiles to fire into Israel. Jordan, per Ezekiel 25 is given to the men of the East- Iran. They and the Gaza Strip also attack Israel. Israel nukes Damascus per Isaiah 17:1, and hits her enemies on her borders with neutron bombs that kill living things, but buildings are left standing for residences for the returning lost tribes and Jews outside Israel. A neutron bomb’s radiation dissipates quickly. How dare those Jews try to save themselves from annihilation by their enemies! The US dollar collapses making most Americans and people throughout the world poor. America’s power also collapses. Will this year start Daniel’s 70th week?

Psalm 124 (2024): If the LORD had not been on Israel’s side they would have been overwhelmed. Instead, God would not give them as prey to the teeth of the enemy. The destruction of Islam is noted in Ezekiel 25 to 39, Amos 1 & 2, Daniel 11:40-43, and Isaiah 17:1-3. Amos 1:1 suggests this is over a two-year period, ending with the destruction of the Russo-Muslim invasion of Ezekiel 38 & 39. Are the years 2023 and 2024 that period?

Psalm 125 (2025) 1, Those who trust in the LORD are like Mount Zion, which cannot be moved, but abides forever. 2 As the mountains surround Jerusalem, so the LORD surrounds His people from this time forth and forever. Is this a celebration of the destruction of their traditional enemy- Islam? And a celebration for the return of the lost tribes (See Ezekiel 37:15-17)?

Psalm 126 When the LORD brought back the captivity of Zion… Is this a reference to what has been ongoing for several years, leading to the rebuilding of the Temple, or is it more recent pointing to His return to reign in 2032?

Psalm 127 Unless the Lord builds the house, they labor in vain who build it (quoted by Benjamin Franklin at the Constitutional Convention in 1787) Unless the LORD guards the city, the watchman stays awake in vain. Is this a reflection on trying to build Israel as a secular state, and its collapse with the reign of the anti-Christ? Thereafter, he offers hope in this psalm. Remember, the anti-Christ reigns 1260 days, and he is toast. Israel has fled and is guarded by God in the wilderness, likely Petra, for 1260 days per Revelation 12:6, 14.

Psalm 128 Hope for the future?

Psalm 129 “Many a time they have afflicted me from my youth,” let Israel now say- 2 “Many a time they have afflicted me from my youth, yet they have not prevailed against me. 3 The plowers plowed on my back; they made their furrows long.” 4 The LORD is righteous; he has cut in pieces the cords of the wicked. 5 Let all those who hate Zion be put to shame and turned back. 6 Let them be as the grass on the housetops, which withers before it grows up, 7 with which the reaper does not fill his hand, nor he who binds sheaves , his arms. 8 Neither let those who pass by them say, “The blessing of the LORD be upon you; we bless you in the name of the LORD!”

Is this the conclusion of the Great Tribulation or its beginning?

Psalm 130 “Out of the depths I have cried to You, O LORD; 2 LORD, hear my voice…

5 I wait for the LORD, my soul waits…

7 O Israel, hope in the LORD

Is this during the Great Tribulation?

Psalm 132 11 The LORD has sworn in truth to David; He will not turn from it: “I will set upon your throne the fruit of your body.

Is 2032 when the LORD takes His throne on the 2000th anniversary year of His crucifixion? So does Daniel’s final week begin in 2023 or 2026? I favor the former, but I could be wrong.

Addendum:

Trumpets, this year of 2022, begins in Jerusalem on 25 September at sunset.

2023- begins 15 September at sunset

2024 begins 2 October at sunset

2025 begins 22 September at sunset

The above dates are from a Jewish calendar and the internet. Please check them.

Keep in mind that Jewish days go sunset to sunset. Also remember that Trumpets is the only Mosaic feast with a new or crescent moon. All other Mosaic feasts occur with full moons. The Feast of Trumpets can only be called when the crescent moon is seen. If the sky is overcast, and the moon cannot be found, the feast begins the next day. Christ said we would not know the day or hour of His coming in Matthew 24:36. The Hebrew feasts are translated as “the appointed times.” The crescent moon is also a symbol of Islam. Would they think Allah had blessed them if their worst enemies were thrown into confusion by the rapture? What would they do then? Time to take the Great Satan America and then Jerusalem? The Islamic cry of Allahu Akbar resounds throughout the earth, translated not as “Our God is great!”,

but “Our God is greater (than the God of the Jews and Christians)!” Or is this the Judeo-Christian God leading Islam to its destruction? Daniel 2 describes a statue with a head of gold representing Babylon replaced by the silver arms and upper torso of Persia, today’s Iran. Is this a double prophecy? America is the hyperpower of this era, i.e., the head of gold. If it is, then Iran or Shia Islam would replace America, to then be replaced by the bronze of Sunni Islam, who will then be replaced by the iron of the European Union. And, finally, you get to the feet of iron and clay per Daniel 2:43 “As you saw iron mixed with ceramic clay, they will mingle with the seed of men, but they will not adhere to one another, just as iron does not mix with clay.“ Who are they? I had always believed this referred to mankind divided by different races, colors, languages, customs, religions, etc. However, the construction of the sentence means they must be something other than mankind. The fallen angels and Nephilim return – extraterrestrials who started mankind, oh, so very long again, and here again to help us, they say. Matthew 24:37 “But as the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. We shall see.
