11 - The Destiny of Islam

I have written about the destruction of Islam over a 2 year span per Amos 1:1 previously, but new information has come to my attention regarding the sequence of events according to the Bible:

  1. The destruction of the nations, bordering Israel save Egypt, per Amos 1 & 2, Zephaniah 2 and Ezekiel 25, Isaiah 17:1, Ezekiel 28:20- 23. Also Assyria (ISIS?) per Zephaniah 2:13-15.

  2. The destruction of Shia Islam (Iran, Iraq & Syria) by Sunni Islam (Turkey, Egypt, Pakistan and? Saudi Arabia? Assyria?) per Daniel 8.

  3. The defeat of Turkey (Lydia led by the king of the North), Egypt (Egypt led by the king of the South), Put (North African Muslims), Cush (black African Muslims), and all the mingled people (jihadists from all over to include Europe and America) per Ezekiel 30:1-5, Jeremiah 46:8-10, and Daniel 11:40.

  4. The invasion of Egypt by the anti-Christ to be followed by the nuking of the Aswan Dam per Isaiah 19:1-17, and Ezekiel 29

  5. The destruction of the Russo-Islamic invasion in Ezekiel 38 & 39.

Remember Daniel is a closed book unlike Revelation (22:10). Per Daniel 12:4 “But you, Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book until the time of the end; many shall run to and fro and knowledge shall increase.”

Several Biblical scholars have said the running to and fro refers to scholars going back and forth among the pages of the Bible seeking and finding nuggets of new information, and the increase of knowledge refers to Biblical knowledge. I believe the verse is another double prophecy meaning there will also be vast population shifts. Consider all the Muslims going to Europe, the US, Canada, and Australia. Asians and blacks and Mexicans and Central Americans are rushing to come to America. Fox News noted at about 2:32 PM on 9 Sept, 2017, that 6 million persons had been told to evacuate southern Florida with Hurricane Irma on the move. Stewardesses have noted third trimester pregnant females from all over the world are coming to America on their planes trying to have an anchor baby born in the US so they can bring over their entire family. Scientific and other knowledge has also greatly increased.

The book of Daniel began to open around 1890, when The Coming Prince was published detailing the 69 weeks prophecy of Daniel 9:25- 26. Its author, Sir Robert Anderson, the head of Scotland Yard, interpreted the 69 weeks with Biblical years of 360 days, the length of the Creation year, beginning in Nehemiah 2:1 on the first of Nisan in the 20th year of Artaxerxes or 14 March in 445 BC and ending on 6 April in 32 AD, on the tenth of Nisan when Christ rode the donkey’s colt into Jerusalem, in effect fulfilling Zechariah’s 9:9 prophecy. The tenth of Nisan is the day the Passover lambs were presented to the priests to make sure they were perfect for the Passover sacrifice per Exodus 12:3. Likely, the Jews at the time of Christ were expecting the Messiah using the present calendar years of about 365 and a quarter days, i.e. they were expecting Him around 39 AD.

Daniel 8 has usually been interpreted as history. The ram, a symbol of Persia, with two horns (Medes and Persians) went west and south and north creating the Persian Empire. Then a goat with one horn came from the west traveling so quickly that its feet did not touch the ground. The goat was the symbol of Greece with the one-horned goat representing the first king- Alexander the Great, who in a three year span conquered the vast Persian Empire as the prophecy predicted. Then the single horn was broken into four horns, representing four kingdoms ruled by Alexander’s generals, none as powerful as Alexander. These four would include the South, Egypt, ruled by the Ptolemys, whose line ended with Cleopatra, as well as the North, the Seleucid Empire that included Syria and the East. Another general was given Greece; the fourth, Turkey. Out of one of the four horns came a little horn that caused the daily sacrifices to be stopped per verse 11. Circa 168 or 167 BC, Antiochus Epiphanes, king of the North, stopped the sacrifices in the Jewish temple and put up the first abomination of desolation. The anti-Christ will set up the second abomination of desolation in the Jerusalem Temple, which is not yet built. In verse 20, the text states the ram is Medo-Persia; in verse 21, the goat, Greece, which seems the end of the story. But Joel Richardson suspected there was more to the chapter, specifically noting verse 10 which notes the little horn cast down stars (angels) from heaven, which Antiochus could not do. Verse 11 notes the little horn exalted himself as high as the Prince of the host, which sounds more like the soon-to-come anti-Christ raising himself to the level of Christ. Verse 17 notes this vision refers to the time of the end (the end of this war, the end of the age, both?)

Daniel 8:23 “And in the latter time of their kingdom, when the transgressors have reached their fullness, a king shall arise, having fierce features, who understands sinister schemes. 24 His power shall be mighty, but not by his own power; he shall destroy fearfully, and shall prosper and thrive; he shall destroy the mighty, and also the holy people. 25 Through his cunning he shall cause deceit to prosper under his rule; and he shall exalt himself in his heart. He shall destroy many in their prosperity. He shall even rise against the Prince of princes (Christ); but he shall be broken without human means. 26 “And the vision of the evenings and mornings which was told is true; Therefore seal up the vision for it refers to many days in the future.’

Several verses (10, 11, and 25) do not fit in well with the little horn of the second century. So… another double prophecy. How would that work? The imam, Ali Khameini (sp?) who rules Iran is supported by 15% of his population but Iran has great oil and natural gas wealth. The imam may wish to be a shah and rebuild the Persian Empire. He has certainly expanded his power to the west. He has great influence in Baghdad. He has 40,000 Iranian troops in Syria, and finances Hezbollah in southern Lebanon and also Hamas in Gaza, as well as supplying them with weapons. He has expanded his power to the south, with money and weapons to the Houthis of Yemen. To the north, he has a treaty with Russia. Two horns? The most obvious answer here would be the Kurds, thus re-establishing the Medo-Persian Empire of old. Now the Iranians are radical Islamists; the Kurds are moderates, friends of America, but they are being attacked by the Turks. The Muslims have a saying, “The enemy of my enemy is my friend.” Perhaps the Kurds will be attacked by the Turks, and the Persians will offer them aid, and, in their desperation, the Kurds accept their aid. For this to happen, America would have to cease projecting power throughout the world, as normally, they would turn to us first. We shall see.

Richardson noted the ruler of Turkey, Erdogan, who is supported by 45% of the population, just became a dictator in effect, with the rewriting of the Turkish constitution earlier in 2017. He wields more power in Turkey than any man since the sultans when Turkey was expansionist as the Ottoman Empire. He wants to renew the caliphate of the Turkish empire. The ancient Greeks were seafarers and their sea was the Aegean or goat sea. The ancient Greeks had extensive colonies in the ports of western Turkey. These cities rose against the Persians after they had been conquered. The Greeks across the sea supported their fellow Greeks which led to the Greco-Persian Wars. Erdogan could represent the goat with the single horn arising out of Greece, as western Turkey was Greek before being conquered by the Persians.

Islam is divided into the sects of Shia (15%) and Sunni (85%) with Shia’s bastion being Iran, but also Iraq where it is about 60% of the population. Saddam Hussein who was Sunni (about 25% of Iraq’s population) kept the Shias in line, but America believed in democracy so the Shias are now dominant. The ancient Medes are now called the Kurds, about 15% of Iraq’s population, most prominent in the northeastern corner, but the Kurds are also prominent in southeastern Turkey, northeastern Syria, and northwestern Iran. The Turks and their Kurdish population are often at odds with one another. The Shias and the Sunnis hate one another with a passion, each regarding the other as heretical. I suspect the Sunnis are becoming more and more nervous about Iran getting nuclear weapons. Think about Sunni Pakistan, whose great enemy to their east is India, each having nuclear weapons, but now their other enemy Iran is soon to get nukes also. So perhaps Turkey (Erdogan = one-horned goat) heads a Sunni confederacy of Egypt, Pakistan, and one more powerful nation for the fourth horn. Could this be Saudi Arabia, because of their wealth and military supplies acquired from the US? Zephaniah 2:13-15 mentions Assyria as being destroyed along with making Nineveh a desolation. Nineveh was destroyed so completely around 612 BC that its actual location was lost until around the 1840s AD. However, on the opposite bank of the Tigris, is Mosul, which has recently been retaken from ISIS. ISIS seems on the run in most places with friendly forces in the outskirts of their capital Raqqa in Syria, but Zephaniah notes Assyria is also defeated when all the nations surrounding Israel save Egypt are destroyed. If Mosul, Iraq’s second largest city, represents Nineveh, it was badly damaged when retaken from ISIS, but probably not yet a desolation. Will ISIS regain strength or will another powerful nation arise in the land of Assyria? Or is it another nation altogether? Which nation is the fourth horn?

Israel is very concerned because the Iranians are at their borders in Gaza and southern Lebanon, and now in Syria. In Ezekiel 25, verses 4 & 10 God says He will give Ammon, Moab, and Edom to the men of the East. Will Iran take over the border of Jordan as well? Suppose Hezbollah, with over 100,000 missles obtained from Syria, and Hamas, and Syria start firing their weapons into Israel. Israel responds with nuclear weapons, perhaps even attacking Iran itself. Per Amos 2:4- 5, Judah (modern Israel) will sustain significant damage and will likely only be interested in their immediate borders. Also per Amos 2:6- 16, the northern kingdom of Israel will also sustain significant damage when the modern state of Israel takes out all the bordering nations save Egypt. To me, the Anglo-Saxons are the lost tribes of Ephraim and Manasseh, the sons of Joseph, who reigned over the ancient northern kingdom of Israel, and who had the blessings of God, delivered in the last quarter of the sixth millennium after Creation. I believe both Britain and America will sustain significant damage at this time, but all the lost tribes of Israel must return and not just the Jews. What a perfect time for a Sunni confederation to take out Iran per Jeremiah 49:36 Against Elam (southwestern Iran) I will bring the four winds from the four quarters of heaven, and scatter them toward all these winds; there shall be no nations where the outcasts of Elam will not go... and I will send the sword after them until I have consumed them.

Though the Sunnis will inflict a severe defeat upon Iran, the nation will ultimately be destroyed when its remnant participates in the Russo-Muslim invasion of Israel per Ezekiel 38 & 39 (see 38:5).

Then Daniel 11:40 “At the time of the end the king of the South (Egypt) shall attack him (the anti-Christ); and the king of the North (Turkey) shall come against him like a whirlwind, with chariots, horsemen and with many ships; and he shall enter the countries overwhelm them and pass through.

41 “He (the anti-Christ) shall also enter the Glorious Land (Israel), and many countries shall be overthrown; but these shall escape from his hand: Edom, Moab and the prominent people of Ammon.

It is difficult for me to believe Turkey and Egypt will attack Europe where I suspect the anti-Christ will hail from. Regarding Amos 1 &2, in Gaza and southern Lebanon I suspect neutron bombs will kill all humans, but leave buildings intact, so the lost tribes and Jews can return to these areas. Damascus will get a standard atomic bomb, leaving it a pile of radioactive rubble per Isaiah 17:1. Central Jordan (Moab) will be “a perpetual desolation” per Zephaniah 2:9 with significant damage to northern Jordan (Ammon) and southern Jordan (Edom) per 1 in the list on page 1. After the carnage on the surrounding Muslim nations save Egypt, I suspect the anti-Christ will be in charge of Jerusalem for 1260 days (Revelation 11:2) through the United Nations demanding that Jerusalem be made an international city under UN control. Then the anti-Christ will be attacked by Egypt and Turkey. He will easily defeat both. Also during this 1260 days, the anti-Christ will put up the second abomination of desolation in the Jerusalem Temple (not yet built) to begin the 1260 days of the Great Tribulation. These 1260 day periods will overlap, but they are not the same. The anti-Christ will consider an attack on Israel an attack on himself. Jordan will be a place of refuge during the Great Tribulation’s 1260 days (Revelation 12:6, 14; 13:5, and Daniel 7:25 & 12:7).

42 “He shall stretch out his hand against the countries, and the land of Egypt shall not escape. 43 He shall have power over the treasures of gold and silver and over all the precious things of Egypt; also the Libyans, and Ethiopians shall follow at his heels. 44 But news from the east (the kings of the east in Revelation 9:16 and 16:12) and the north (the Russo-Muslim invasion of modern Israel noted in Ezekiel 38 & 39) shall trouble him; therefore he shall go out with great fury to destroy and annihilate many."

The anti-Christ will invade Egypt, but the Egyptians will rebel against him. Finally, to show his power, he will nuke the Aswan Dam fulfilling the prophecies of Ezekiel 29. The Aswan Dam is just above Egypt’s southern border. It is 360 feet tall and 10,200 feet across. Behind it is the second largest manmade lake in the world. Its destruction by a nuclear bomb will put the fish on the shore and seed the upper Nile with radioactivity making Egypt unlivable for 40 years. Then the Russo-Muslim invasion of Ezekiel 38 and 39. Then the abomination of desolation in the Jerusalem Temple. Then the kings of the East.
